Can't find direction feel your hitting a brick wall? Many people feel this way at some time in their lives, it's just as though you wake up one morning and feel like your brain is fried. Sometimes it's too many drugs, too much stress, too much alcohol but mostly it's just pushing too hard and expecting everything to happen over night. Now some people do manage to create a dream life over night but not many so lets be spiritually realistic.
So much of the hype going round today in spiritual circles teaches that you can have it all and have it now, and when people don't get the results they want from life overnight then they crash and burn in a thousand embers of shattered dreams.
I want to let you in on something, "nothing good was ever achieved without an enormous amount of commitment and a ton of energy and often a whole bucket full of struggle." Sometimes it takes years to see that seed of passion turn into a full tangible reality of life. Just like the oak tree your life won't develop into something substantial overnight - things take time, and to everything there is a perfect timing. Make the decision right now, to adjust your focus, concentrate on thinking about life in ways that support your journey, and above all be gentle on yourself.
It's a terrible feeling when you can't see past today, when you are flat out coping with the basic things in life, like going to work, catching a bus, feeding the kids and even cleaning the house. It's a very dark place you're in if your feeling anything like this. When our energy gets out of balance, when we are too much in the emotions we become drained, its like our life force leaves us and everything is a struggle, even thinking hurts. Its not a time to give up, but it is a time to re-evaluate your life and get some perspective.
So what can you do to change things? The first things I suggest is don't do anything, just find a quiet place and take some time out. The world won't end if you just stop everything, get someone to take the kids for an hour, go sit in the park, or on the beach, take a long bath, and get some rest. Never make major decisions when you're feeling like this, even the most urgent decision should wait until your thinking more clearly.
The key to getting back on track is first to find your balance again, rest, sleep, eat, relax and make the conscious choice to stop hashing over those problems, they can wait till you feel better and your vision returns. It generally takes only 24 hours for the spiritual life force energy to return to the physical body that is providing you can stop the emotional roller coaster and mentally, physically and emotionally recover.
There are specific states of mind that drain the body of life force, when the body is drained of life force then you will not feel that you can go on, you will feel like you are dying, and you will cry and cry and feel desperately helpless.
The specific states of mind that pull you down and hold you down are:
Are all states of mind that will suck the living life force from your body and soul?
Where focusing on thoughts of; Love; joy; passion; happiness; hope; satisfaction and gratefulness will refill the souls energy providing the connection to spirit and in doing so guide you to feeling connected to others and having purpose in your life.
What ever you do learn to respect your body, mind and soul and take care of your energy, though thinking upon thoughts that make you happy, bring you purpose and appreciation of the experience life can and will change. |
