Spiritually Living Consciously ~ what does that mean and how do you do it?  Is the ability to be intuitively and physically be aware of what motivates drives and inspires us in our every day lives resulting in choices that can transform our lives.  Probably the easiest way is to describe what unconscious living is:  Its living being blown about by desires, emotions, needs, wants and addictions.

If you’re a person who is compelled by any of those things then you are no doubt living life from an unconscious perspective. In other words, you don’t fully realise why life turns out how it does, and feel that you are the victim of a grand play that we call life.

Those people involved in Spiritual pursuits call becoming conscious “The Awakening.”  The awakening is generally a very painful process, it involves us becoming self aware, self reliant and personally responsible for the choices we make in our lives.  When you begin the Awakening, often it feels like a roller coaster ride from hell, because all at once you begin to realise how your own emotional neediness and co dependence has coloured the choices you have previously made. People choose what feels good – choices are often related to physical gratification, rather than doing the right thing.  For example: to tell a lie might get you out of trouble for now, but sooner or later that lie is going to resurface and jump up and bite you.  So the need to avoid conflict, and avoid facing the fact you did something wrong motivates you to choose to tell the lie.  Living Consciously through daily life can start right this minute; it’s as easy as making a decision to be personally responsible for your health, wealth, happiness, future, direction and spirituality.

The most difficult aspect of living consciously is human beings are creatures of habit, and by being creatures of habit, we often do things without thinking about what we are doing.  An easy exercise to assist with this is simply to write a page of statements that state where and how you want your life to be one year from now.  When you actually state how you want your life to be, it sets in motion your natural guidance system, like a Geiger counter, it ticks away giving you signals when your getting on track and off track.  Conscious living is the art of keeping on redefining your life direction, through using your intuitive and physical strength and knowing.  For example if you wanted to loose 15 kg by next year, your surely not going to achieve that if you keep reaching for the lolly jar, or the ice cream every time you get stressed.   In applying conscious living techniques, you would begin by asking yourself why where you getting stressed, what are the triggers, and what can you do to change those things so you deal with your stress in a more beneficial way.

Living Consciously & Spiritual Practises.

I tend to be a very practical person, I have been psychic since childhood, been a medium most of my life and walk my talk in every way.  I live a life of living consciously.  To me it has to be practical, it has to be realistic, and it has to not interfere with the every day living of my busy life.  Some people’s idea of Conscious Spirituality can be very different to mine, and that’s ok.  To each his own, but when the teachings and the things you have to do put more stress and pressure on you in a hundred ways then it’s not worth it.   Spiritual development should be natural, it should compliment your life, and enhance your well being at the same time.  If its too complicated, or involves wierd practices, avoiding negative thoughts then all its going to do is mess with your head.
