reflection_topJesus took Peter, James, and his brother John off by themselves and led them up a high mountain. There he was transformed before them: his face as radiant as the sun, and the cloak around him became pure light.

All at once they could see Moses and Elijah, speaking with him.

Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, it is so great that we are here! If you want, I can put up three tents right here: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."

While he was still babbling, a cloud of light surrounded them, and a voice spoke from within the cloud, saying, "This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!"

Hearing this, the disciples prostrated themselves upon the ground, and were terrified.

Taking hold of them, Jesus said, "Get up! Do not be afraid." When they looked up, they saw no one else; only Jesus.

As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, "Don't tell anybody about the vision until after the Son of Man has been raised from the dead."

~ the Gospel according to Matthew 17:1-9

And so ends Matthew's description of the Transfiguration: when Jesus' glory was revealed to Peter, James, and John. The effect it had on them was nothing less than earth-shaking; for it had been said that "no one shall see the face of the Lord and live" (Exodus 33:20). Their proximity to those prophets who had seen God face to face must have convinced the disciples that they were standing on the edge of Eternity. The party, as they say, was over.

Yet their fear and trembling was unnecessary. After the vision — this insight into Ultimate Reality — faded, Jesus took each one by the arm; sort of shaking them out of their stunned terror: "Snap out of it! Don't be afraid!"

Don't be afraid! It is only Me.reflection_mid

It is One who has come to bless and nourish and heal you; the One who forgives and loves you. Do not be afraid.

At the transfiguration, the "real Jesus" shined through: the radiant glory and power of the Lord was revealed. And His nature didn't change: he didn't turn into the Angry Judge; he did not start throwing lightning bolts and condemnations. The Son of God remained gentle, approachable, caring, and compassionate. And he still had an uphill battle in getting that point across to his followers.

Somehow or other, the Beloved had gotten a bad rep. The One who had lovingly created the earth; who had lead the People out of slavery, providing all they needed for 40 years; the adoring Spouse who had pledged to be with them forever — had been transformed. God had begun to seem distant, angry, and unapproachable.

Perhaps it was due to the prophets' angry denunciations of the rich and powerful, perhaps the priests' insistence that no one but they could approach the Holy One, perhaps it was the peoples' sense of their own imperfect nature. Whatever the cause, a barrier had been erected between God and God's people. And the Beloved sent Jesus to push it aside; to reach across the divide and touch our hearts.

"Listen to him!" the Voice from heaven commands.

And Jesus said, "Don't be afraid!"

Our Creator does not intend to inspire our fear or dread; the Holy One doesn't want to be kept at a "safe distance" from humanity; the Beloved doesn't need to be "protected" from the reality of our lives. God is with us.

The life of Christ is a revelation of God's love for us. The Holy One is not a terrible and unapproachable Being, but a Friend: a Companion on the Journey who cares for us deeply and truly. Nothing in our lives is too great or too small to bring to our Dear Friend in prayer. No concern is unimportant, no sin too terrible to be discussed, no desire needs to be hidden.

God is on our side. The Holy One is not a Judge who condemns, but an Advocate who protects us, guides us, and comforts us. reflection_bot2

"I came not to judge the world, but to save the world."
      ~ John 12:47

The Transfiguration of our Lord is a time for great celebration: for God's true character has been revealed to us. Our Creator and Redeemer is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. The Word from heaven is Good News.

Rejoice and do not be afraid.

Dealing with Death and Dying | Print |  E-mail

For many years I have worked with the terminally ill and their families, my role was I suppose you could say, paving the way for peace to enter the lives of all concerned.

Some clients would comment that they found after I left they would have a peace, a deep peace within that allowed and supported them in their journey.  Others said when I visited and put my hands upon the place of their illness the pain would vanish; one dear friend also remarked that he did not need Morphine for 18 hours after my visit. To me I felt humbled that I could bring such peace to someone in such pain, and just to put your mind to rest, I did not charge for this service.

Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen and understand: it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but it is what comes out of the mouth that defiles."

Afterwards Peter said to him, "Explain this parable to us."

Jesus replied, "Don't you get it, yet? Can't you see that whatever goes into the mouth enters the stomach, and from there goes out into the sewer? And that's the end of it. But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart
that is where the pollution comes from. For out of the heart comes evil intentions, murder, unfaithfulness, idolatry, theft, lies, slander.... These are the things that poison a person's soul."

~ The Gospel according to Matthew, chapter 15, verses 10-11, 15-19

as interpreted by Deborah

On Friday evening the traffic was miraculously light, so I got to my hairdresser's appointment early. Mimi was still at work beautifying another client, so I looked through some of the magazines that were stacked on the coffee table. It was a treasure trove of guilty pleasures: Vogue, Glamour, Elle, People
the sorts of publications one would never admit to reading.

I confess that I avidly gawk at photos of fashion shows, movie premiers, and fundraising galas. I love to look at the beautifully designed clothing, the fabulous fabrics, elegant shoes and expensive jewelry. I have no idea why they hold the attraction they do. I don't want or need any of those things I certainly don't have any place to wear a two thousand dollar Dior gown! and I'm not crazy enough to imagine I could ever look like any of the women who wear them. It's just because ..... they're pretty, I guess. In between the photographs were articles on The Lives of The Rich and Famous

I certainly don't have any place to wear a two thousand dollar Dior gown! and I'm not crazy enough to imagine I could ever look like any of the women who wear them. It's just because ..... they're pretty, I guess. In between the photographs were articles on The Lives of The Rich and Famous the predictable litany of dating and mating, breakups and breakdowns; New Fashions overpriced and designed to be worn by the undersized; and, of course the primary purpose behind these magazines How You Can Look Like This.

I recall reading about a study of these magazines, conducted not long ago. It concluded that after reading them for 10-15 minutes, women reported being significantly less satisfied with their overall body image. My personal experience affirms this finding.

Looking up from the softly-lighted and expertly airbrushed young women, I was confronted by the older, far less glamorous face in the mirror. Immediately I resolved to stop at the store on my way home and buy some blusher and a new shade of lipstick.

And there
in response to my newly-discovered "need" was an ad for a cosmetics company. The young woman in the photo looked exquisite; her skin flawless, her bright eyes framed by lacy lashes, and her lips a sweet and lovely rose. That brand was clearly the one I ought to buy.

Having finished with her other customer, Mimi glanced over my shoulder and commented, "Isn't it amazing that such a pretty girl can be so ugly on the inside?"

It turns out that the lovely-looking young woman has a reputation for foul language, angry outbursts, and violent altercations. She has shown no concern for other people's feelings, public safety, or private property. Not nice. Not pretty.

I set the magazine down, feeling like Rip Van Winkle awakening from his fairy enchantment. Well ... duh! Of course! A person's outside appearance is no indication of what lies inside. I knew that! At least I thought I knew it
though I seemed to have forgotten it, readily enough.

Every day in both overt and subtle ways, we are surrounded by messages that trumpet the importance of exterior appearances. Slim waists, firm abs, white teeth, and full lips are deemed essential to modern beauty. But what about interior loveliness? That quality seems to be missing from consideration. But what if we started paying serious attention to what makes a person beautiful on the inside? What if the public started clamoring for magazine articles on great philanthropists? What if fan clubs sprang up for those engaged in good works: for Doctors Without Borders, Heifer International, Amnesty International and the like? What if we treated those who volunteer at our hospitals, animal shelters, schools, and libraries like celebrities

What if we started paying serious attention to true beauty? What if our society began to take a real interest in what makes our souls lovely? How might our world be different?

I wonder ....

There's only one way to find out. And that's to start the process ourselves. One day at a time; one word, one thought, one prayer, one action at a time.

It's not what goes into our mouths that turns our souls sour, nor does what goes onto our mouths make a difference
no lipstick can make our words sweet, or make our spirits soar. What matters is what comes out of our mouths. What matters is what pours forth from our hearts.

We have been called to follow Christ: to fashion our lives on His life. We are the bearers of the Promise: revealers of God's mercy, goodness, and eternal, unending love. When that radiant Truth shines forth from our hearts, we can light up the whole world with hope and joy.

All that is came into being through this One; nothing stands outside. What has come into being in him was Life, and the life was the Light of all people. The Light illuminates the darkness, and the darkness can never overcome it.

~ the Gospel according to John, chapter 1, verses 3-5

May your mouth and your heart be filled with Light
today and always!

Develop your intuititon 1. | Print |  E-mail

Developing your intuition; there is no $ charge parse for this information ~ I have taught spiritual and Intuitive  development to all walks of life, including, Psychologists, Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers, Therapists, Housewives and Truck drivers, for over 25 years, and have very competent students all over the world. What I have to say works, and its that simple.

In this article we will look at Developing ESP, Psychometry, the Aura, Telekinesis, Clairaudience, Clairvoyance, Guides, Ghosts, Spirit Communication, Poltergeist, Dream Interpretation, Absent Healing, Power of Prayer, Karma, and much more.  You will receive knowledge it has taken me a life time to gather and understand.

If you are just beginning to seek knowledge on the psychic then this is where to begin in this chapter we will look at various issues relevant to Psychic development and I will explain certain things as we go along. This chapter also includes various exercises that will enhance your natural talents. These exercises can do no harm in any way to the apprentice.

There is no rush ~ to develop strong abilities you must first understand what you do and why you do it.  So why do you want to develop your abilities?  Be honest with yourself, no one is going to judge you, and yet its important that you know why you want to expand this ability?  Before you begin I suggest you buy a nice journal for yourself, to keep your notes and insights, as in one year from now you will be astounded at how far you have traveled.

There are many simple ways to develop Intuitive Ability or the natural ability to perceive intuitively about events.  Some people have a high level of natural Intuitive  ability, and in other people the abilities are more latent, by latent I refer to the fact that one has to place attention on these abilities in order to develop them.  Fear is the only block to natural development, so if you're scared of what you may intuit, or, scared of experiencing demonic presence etc then the skills will be far more hesitant in coming forward.

In all my years of psychic experience I have never been confronted by anything I could not deal with, and never have been feeling threat or danger to myself.  I say this to reassure you that much of what people will tell you are in fact bogus, ramblings of people who are ignorant of the basics which support psychic abilities to be developed safely.

Ignorance is dangerous, and playing with such things as Ouija boards, séances, and other forms of occult are not encouraged by me or my students.   The reason for this is simple these mediums are doorways to lower astral levels, and as such can expose the apprentice to visions, dreams and all manner of experiences that one need not experience.   (I will explain astral levels in chapter 2)

The first exercise involves self protection through focus of white light.

If there is nothing to fear, then why use protection?  I will explain why we use white light and how to use it:  The average person has some fear or negative traits; it could be you get angry easily, or hurt, or are co-dependant, or lack self worth and are in the process of working through many issues in your life and relationships.  This is normal; we are all human and growing through our life experience.

By using white light and imagining a circle of white light surrounding the body, filling the Auric space, (the aura ~ an egg shell shaped sphere of energy which surrounds the living) what we are in essence doing is affirming our intention, affirming that our intention is of the highest possible good, and clearing any negative thoughts or residue from our own space, for the exercise.

So begin by sitting comfortably and imagine a light or light source shining down upon you, whatever you see as relevant to you, some people see an angel sending light, others the sun, others Jesus or Buddha what ever source it is does not matter as long as it holds relevance to you and your beliefs, some people don't see the light but feel a warmth, a sense of love surrounding them this is fine too.  Next imagine that light filling your space, filling the egg shaped sphere that surrounds you and then use the affirmation, "It is my intention that this exercise be for the highest good, and that I do not interfere in any other person's life or space, I ask for divine protection and guidance."

It is not good Karma, to direct your will towards another living person, even if you think you know what is best for them, this sort of act is in fact more on  the side of back magic rather than good or in anyone's best interest. Some people who work in psychic healing actually do harm, to themselves and others through having good intention but lack of understanding. Many psychics who work with healing themselves become ill, or unbalanced. Hence it is advisable to learn how to do it safely!

Developing Intuitive ability is something anyone can do, age makes no difference, or gender, or even life experience, the only thing which is detrimental to development is personal use of Drugs ~ It is not recommended that anyone who has used substances of any type.  If you have used or are using marijuana, heroine, coke, speed, or any other substance DO NOT attempt to develop any psychic abilities.  The reason for this is that Narcotics interfere with natural brain chemistry, and not only that they also have the capabilities of opening doorways to things that can never been shut.  For those with more questions on this I recommend they search the internet for information relevant to "Drug Induced Psychosis."

Now we begin: What is the point in developing Psychic abilities?  I suppose that depends upon you ~ you may just be curious, you may want to use your intuition to help your life path and safety, or you may just want to develop the ability to understand nature.  It's your choice.  I have been psychic since childhood, and for years hid that ability from the world simply because of the ignorance of others, and the lack of understanding of this ability in a practical sense.  On a day to day basis, I use my ability constantly.  How does this affect my life?  Well it makes for an interesting one, I never interfere in other peoples lives, and always strive to use my skill to support and comfort those in body and in spirit. There is not a day when I don't use my ability, sometimes you can know things but not be able to do anything about what you know, and you can't just go around telling people what you see or know, that is bad Karma.  Only egocentric psychics do this sort of thing.

The worst thing to encounter is a person who is Intuitive and trying to get into your space, when you have not given permission. It is so intrusive and physically uncomfortable.  A real good statement to remember at all times is this, "A good intuitive wont read your mind and a  bad intuitive cant" THE ONLY things I intuit are energies that are aimed towards me, or involve my life, or in response to a request for help from another. Never interfere!

When you begin to develop you abilities first you will be required to gain a grounding of your skills, this is accomplished by a few simple exercises, and don't underestimate the power of these exercises, for it is these that will form the foundation for your interpretation of information.  At the end of the day, how your skills develop is up to you, so don't short change yourself by trying to run before you can walk.

Exercise one:

Find a quiet place to sit, take the phone off the hook and light some candles or incense if you wish, it's not necessary, but some people like to set the mood.  Now, first use your white light exercise, fill your space with white light, and ask for a blessing and affirm your intention of the highest good.   Next you will begin by closing your eyes and using all your senses, explore the following list.  We have six senses, you will use and develop all of these, including sight, smell, auditory, taste, kinesetic (or touch) and the sixth sense of pure intuition.  This exercise will begin developing muscles which support all of those senses.

Close your eyes and imagine:

A large red rose, with a very wonderful perfume, feel the rose petals in your fingers, and smell the perfume, allow that vision to be clear and strong in your mind.

Imagine you have a big sugary watermelon, you have just cut the melon with a knife and can hear the crack of it opening, and smell the sweet smell of the melon as its juice begins to flow.  Then take a big bite from the melon, feel its fresh coolness as you bite into its flesh, and taste the sweet light fruit.

Next imaging a big cup of coffee, you can smell the aroma, taste the flavor, see the color, feel the heat, and hear the machine as it makes the coffee in the shop. Experience that image to the fullest!

Now imagine the phone ringing, you can hear the phone, imagine you pick it up and then you can hear a familiar voice speaking your name, feel the emotion attached to that voice and that experience. The person on the other end of the phone has something to tell you, listen and remember what they say.

Now I will give you a list of other examples of things you can use to expand your senses in this way.  You may imagine, a race horse, smell the smell, hear the crowd, see the shine on the horses coat, hear the clip clop of his hooves, and the snorting as he breathes hard after winning the race, what color is his jockey wearing? Take in as much information as you can, use all of your senses! Imagine anything you want, your favorite things will be easier to imagine, this is where your skills need to expand, so think on things that you would not normally encounter as you build your skills. Why do you do this?  You do this because Psychic symbology has no boundaries, once you begin using your senses in this way you will perceive all manner of creature, all types of feelings, colors, smells etc all telling you a story that you in turn must learn to interpret without prejudice.   If you have a fear of snakes for example, your interpretation of a snake dream could be colored by your own fear, there by misinterpretation the dream.

Many intuitive messages come in the form of dream experience, and it is the skill of the apprentice to learn to unravel these messages.

Write your own list of 20 things you commonly experience to use in this exercise, and then 20 things you may never physically encounter, like a volcano exploding, or a grisly bear!  You will need to spend a minimum of 20 minutes a day on this exercise for one month to gain true understanding of it and its power.  Some people want to run before they can walk, they just want to get into the good stuff ~ so to speak, and are not willing to learn the basics, those who do this are just fooling themselves and will only ever have second rate abilities.

Remember: Some people are naturally visual, they see easily. Others are more kinesetic they feel information rather than see pictures, other people are clairaudient, so in other words they hear spirit, or hear information come to them in the form of words, others use a combination of these senses, like me, I use all these senses continually.

The next thing I would like to address is the different types of intuition:  Now this is important ~ there are two basic types of intuition, "intuition with precedent," "Intuition without precedent."  So what is precedent?  It simply means what you have experienced in your physical life, is the book from which you compare your information too.  For example if you were 6 years old and you had a police man come to your front door bearing bad news, then every time you intuit a policeman in your psychic experience then you automatically associate the emotions of the experience when you were 6 and apply that logic to what you perceive now as an adult.   Intuition with precedent is not always accurate! It's important for you to understand this, especially when beginning to develop your sensory abilities.   Intuition without precedent is information that comes when our mind is in a relaxed space, not thinking or seeking anything in particular.  It's the sort of thing that happens when you're doing the dishes and not thinking about anything in particular. It will come as a knowing or statement, such as; ‘Karen, oh I haven't heard from her for a long time, she's pregnant and is going to contact me."  It just a sense of knowing that comes from another space of consciousness.  It is always 100% correct.  This is the best sort of intuitive ability to cultivate.

A good intuitive is always in control of their ability, they are never controlled by their ability.  It is essential that anyone developing Intuitive ability be clear in their own mind in relation to knowing your will is stronger than any thing else in the universe.  You are in control and knowing never to harm or do any deed that could restrict or harm another living being is essential.

I have such acute intuitive senses, and yet still I can choose to ignore warnings, and not listen to what I know, it is my choice! Just as it will always be yours:

However, you will learn once you begin to develop you intuition what is just your fears and doubts speaking and what is truth, and the two are very different creatures.  Once you begin developing your intuitive senses, the natural law of sensory ability will require you to let go of any old baggage, hidden agendas, fears, and false beliefs you have.  The very best Intuitives, have clear energy, they are mentally balanced, happy, fit, honest, compassionate people.  You may encounter many false personalities who claim to have psychic abilities, yet be warned, do not take their predictions to heart, as all they predict will be filtered through their own agendas.  In time you may more fully understand what I mean by this.

The next exercise is this:

Before you begin your day, simply write down a list of 10 things you guess you may experience that day.  It is important to get your logical mind out of the way, let your imagination run wild. It doesn't matter if you're right or wrong, just have fun.  It could be you see, a big red bus, a yellow butterfly, a letter from England, a child crying, a car accident, an eagle flying, a broken glass, a friend you have not seen for years.  Just write the first ten things that come into your head.  Do this every day for one month, and the next morning go back and look at the list from the day before and see how many items on the list you actually did experience.

That is the end of chapter one:  Developing your intuitive senses can be fun, and is a very good asset to have in your life.  Next chapter we go further in development and dreams. Enjoy!

Book of Choices p 27-33 | Print |  E-mail
THE SEARCH FOR “IT”- Life On The LONELY Planet:

I have a sense every soul that has ever been born or ever will have something to contribute to the journey of this planet. I believe our journey is to experience life to the fullest, from every conceivable angle. What is the point of this experience we call life? Well it is my belief that we come to learn the right use of will, and the right use of physical power, weather that is over another person or in reflection of our own experience. All of the experience when put together creates a holograph of time and evolution like a giant multidimensional jigsaw puzzle. We are all a part of the one consciousness, with no division except that which our beliefs and ego’s create.

Every soul has come into life with an individual piece to add to life’s giant jigsaw puzzle. Somewhere, somehow, in the midst of the experience we all call life, we all, sooner or later, we discover that we all have something to contribute, that we to have a purpose and that purpose is unique to us alone. Each and every soul has been born with its own quest, the quest to understand, the quest to find solutions to the decline of our natural resources, the quest to make this world a better place, the quest to find inner peace and so on and so forth. Some may simply quest to find happiness or expression of their creativity. Or it could be the quest to solve the puzzle of that experience we call life?

However from the very first moment we think to question, the moment we notice life is not how we imagined it should be, our journey has begun, and from that one moment of inner reflection, life will never be the same. That I guarantee.

Now just because we have noticed something is not quite right doesn’t mean finding the answer will be easy, I have found it to be quite to the contrary. On one hand you have an aspect of us, yearning for answers. Yet on the other hand you have the “Manyana,” philosophy of I will do that tomorrow; I am to busy today with daily life and the challenges of here and now to contend with. It’s quite a juggling act and for even the most ardent seeker the challenge is to defy the odds and solve the mystery. As life demands we stay totally absorbed in the confusion, emotions and beliefs that clutter our day-to-day lives. The worldly distractions, the passions, the needs and desires as well as other things like families and paying the mortgage all must still be dealt with.

These circumstances of our lives are all intricately intertwined with the clues to solving the puzzle of why we are not fulfilled and contented, however our choices are, do we abandon our families and head of on some quest for the Holy Grail? Do we try to incorporate the changes in our daily lives and hope our partners will understand? Do we ignore the longing inside and simply do nothing? How do we juggle all the balls in the air without dropping any? How many choices do we have? What lead us to be here in the first place?

For some people the trigger which starts the search for self is prompted by the death of someone close to us, other times it may be our own lives are threatened or shaken awake by some financial, physical or mental challenge.

A brush with death may trigger the sleeping human being to begin to awaken, but will it give the answers to why we are here and what it’s all about easily. I very much doubt it. Maybe this world is only capable of being awoken by a natural disaster of enormous magnitude? Maybe there must be wars and catastrophes before people will stop and look at what is really important in their lives. Maybe when life is just coasting along we don’t have enough pain to make us really pay attention, and want to change how we treat others and how we show our love to our family and friends? How much has to happen before people take notice and decide to do something to help the consciousness of this planet lift and change?

For the majority of the population however, the strange sense of urgency increases only when the hand of fate touches our lives. Yet for everyone deep within us all as the clock ticks away and the wrinkles and gray hair appear, and we watch as the calendar marks off the days and years of our passing life. Days never to be relived, except in our memories. When we are young we tend to hide the urgency within us from ourselves by avoidance, compulsive behavior and generally too much of too much. We can become a workaholic, shop-a-holic or even an alcoholic. But still within us all is an uneasy feeling and an unexplainable sense that we can’t get “home” without finding or solving “IT.”

And yet, what is “IT”. Where is “home”? Why do I feel so unsettled and discontent? It’s quite strange when you stop to think about it, if we are totally honest its easy to acknowledge that for most of us our lives consist of trying to control and arrange events to suit our vision of getting life to work. Some are lucky enough to naturally be able to go with the flow, and they have what would appear a blessed life, luck and circumstances smile on them, while others seem to struggle constantly. We all hope to finally unravel the clues and in doing so find a way to express our uniqueness and fill in the missing pieces, before we’re too old to enjoy the benefits of the knowledge. It would be a shame to get to the end of our lives, and all of a sudden have a B.F.O of “I’ve got it, now I understand,” just before you pop off.

Meanwhile we go about our daily lives, the clock ticks and the hours pass us by, never to return. Somehow till now we have avoided facing the deepest questions, the needs, the passions unfulfilled. We hide these truths even from ourselves, denying their existence like hiding a piece of a childhood puzzle from your brother or sister in the cupboard. Our destiny sits silently waiting, safely tucked away just waiting for us to allow a flicker of introspection to spark its presence to grow. One moment of self-reflection is all it takes, Pandora’s Box is opened and life will never be the same, our personal development to spring upon us with the fury of a hurricane. Just one second is all it takes to begin to stir the memory hidden deep within us. One second, that’s all it takes for the journey to begin. Within us all lies a dormant distant memory of there being a better way to live.

And with those memories comes the knowing that the potential of our soul to achieve is far greater than we ever could have imagined it to be. For me, my memory jolt came in the shape and form of a beaten up magazine tossed in the corner of a doctor’s waiting room. For you it could be hidden deep in the pile of things stuck away in the shed in the back yard. Or maybe, it’s buried deep amongst the stuff that grandma left you, that’s piled on the shelf in the corner of the back veranda. The memory could be stirred by the scent of a flower, the memory of a sunset a child laughing. Anything can set your growth and development in motion at any time.

Of course, it’s your Choice, whether to listen to “it” or not. Daily we are bombarded by sensory information; the problem is that most people are not present in order to receive the information. They are busy in their imaginations and thoughts, and their thoughts are more often than enough people’s thoughts are lost in yesterday, or exploring tomorrow. Little do they realize it is in this exact second, in this moment today – is where the answers are to be discovered?

All too often our need for answers is triggered by painful experiences. The human psyche would rather erase or deny or avoid such memories, as the pain can sometimes be too much for one to endure. We are experts at carefully packing away things we don’t know or want to deal with even though we know that one day we will eventually have to unpack, face and then throw away what we don’t need. The memories can be of unrequited love, or of loved ones who have passed away, sometimes tragically, or just too soon, or maybe during an argument that never should have happened.

The precious insights are held secret from our vision because the emotions and the pain are far too intense for us to be able to see past them into the understanding and wisdom. It is normal to feel overwhelmed by the enormity and complexity of life’s hurdles. Trying to make sense of the confusion at the time is often a fruitless task. We humans seem to learn more when we look back than at the moment of confrontation. I once heard it said that in hindsight we all have 20 –20 vision.

Generally people lack the skills to be able to question our perception of life’s obstacles, at the time of the challenge. We make excuses, in order to avoid having to acknowledge that we don’t know how to deal with a problem. We say we haven’t got time, so we don’t have to stop and think and feel. We convince ourselves it is all right not to have time, our priorities have become confused and we have all but forgotten the importance of our loved ones in our life. However, secretly we think, even if there were time, where do we start to fix things? Yet the real problem is often we don’t know what Choices we have? Our choices lay outside of our thinking patterns, so how do we find them? Books, training programs, religion, and spirituality, university, and self- help groups, going to a psychologist of councilor all bring us more choices. But wouldn’t it be good if we could do all of that using our own knowledge? Wouldn’t it be better if we could find a way to expand our choices, without having to pay lots of money or rely on other people? “There must be a way,” I thought and without knowing it my journey had begun. I had dared to question; I had dared to dream of a better way. Now what would be the challenges?
